Urban Data Centers and the Edge (session)

Jackson is a Global Leader for Gensler’s Critical Facilities Practice Area which includes 7 US and 2 international centers of excellence. In his 15 years with the firm he has led projects with teams in North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia. His experience and expertise, while focused on critical facilities like data centers, high-performance computing facilities, and command centers, has overlapped with commercial office buildings, corporate campus headquarters and mixed-use/retail projects because of his knowledge of envelop design, build-to-suit, and projects with complex engineering designs. Prior to leading the Global Critical Facilities practice, he was the Global Leader of the Command Centers practice, and previously a Regional Leader for the Critical Facilities practice. Jackson’s critical facilities projects are noted for their sustainability — with four data centers receiving LEED Gold certification. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University, where he has since served two three-year appointments on their Architectural Advisory Council and been a frequent guest critic for architecture design studios.
