Eric Hanson is currently Director of Environmental, Health and Safety for The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, and has been in this role for 7 years. Prior to joining Whiting-Turner, Eric was a consultant, accident investigator and expert witness. For 25 years, Eric worked at US National Physics Research Laboratories – Fermilab and Jefferson Lab – first as a technologist, later switching careers and entering the EH&S field. He is a Certified Safety Professional and a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he enjoys playing guitar, sailing and currently resides in Virginia.
