In the spirit of the chain is only as strong as its weakest link, the vast majority of companies’ existing network infrastructures are completely unprepared to support even the most rudimentary IoT applications. Over reliance on the public network, outdated switching hardware and inefficient design present significant architectural challenges delivering the degree of low latency necessary to enable volumes of data to be processed and acted upon.
