James Monahan is the Director of Facilities Engineering, RunOps at Meta where he leads a global team providing operational engineering support for Meta’s data centers. Prior to Meta, James was the Director of Mission Critical Engineering at eBay where he led the design, construction, and commissioning of eBay’s datacenter. Prior to eBay James worked in a variety of data center engineering roles both on the owner side and as a consultant. James holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
