Vali has more than 34 years of HVAC Engineering experience, approximately 20 of which have been committed exclusively to the design, commissioning, and controls of mission critical facilities. He has been responsible for developing concepts and innovations on a wide range of data center projects across multiple industries. He has authored many technical papers on best practices in mission critical design, and has spoken at numerous industry conferences. He is an Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer, and he is a developer and instructor for the DCEP program by DoE and LBNL. Vali is an active member and contributor of ASHRAE TC 9.9; a voting member of ASHRAE SSPC 90.4; a member of The Green Grid Liquid Cooling Work Group. Vali has a B.Sc. degree in genetics from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University in New York, NY.
