Lessons Learned in Achieving Data Center Efficiency Goals – 3 Case Studies (session)
Dave began his career at Intuit during the build phase of their 240,000 square-foot data center in 2007. While at Intuit he has achieved Energy Star Certification for the site reaching a score of 98% and has also met and achieved the Better Buildings Challenge with a 24% energy savings. Prior to Intuit Dave spent 15 years with Maxim Integrated Products, a Semiconductor Manufacturer, and his last five years as Facilities Manager of their San Antonio Wafer Fab. Dave began his career serving a four-year apprenticeship as a Stationary Engineer, and later another four-year apprenticeship as a Manufacturing Plant Electrician. Dave later obtained his Manufacturing Plant Electrical Supervisors license and worked as the signing supervisor for all electrical work at the Beaverton Oregon Wafer Fab. While working in Oregon, he also served on an Advisory Committee to the State Electrical Board for Wafer Fab Operations.
