Michael Swetz is a Vice President within Global Technology Operations at State Street Corporation. In this role, he manages operations and governance activities at State Street’s fleet of data centers. State Street Corporation is an American worldwide financial services company. State Street was founded in 1792 and is the second oldest financial institution in the United States of America and one of the largest asset management companies in the world with 2.45 trillion USD under management. State Street is responsible for the custody and administration of 11% of the world’s total financial assets.
Michael has management responsibilities for related outsourced partnerships. He held various technical roles at State Street and started his current role in 2002. Prior to joining State Street in 1995, Michael served in various technology roles at Automatic Data Processing and Quotron Systems, Inc. which included a variety of financial services business/technology responsibilities; including domestic and international data center management. He is an IT sustainability initiatives advocate and is a member of State Street’s Corporate Environmental Sustainability Committee Working Group.
Michael is the New England Chapter President/Chairman of 7×24 Exchange International and the National 7×24 Exchange International Exchange Mentoring Program Manager. He is the former President of the Association for Data Center Management Professionals (AFCOM) New England Chapter.
