With each physical and cyber attack against our nation’s critical infrastructure and information repositories, it becomes more evident that procurement, design, construction, and operations need to be concurrent to achieve a comprehensive approach to securing mission critical facilities. Gaps between these four core phases increase vulnerabilities beyond a vehicle bomb or insider cyber-attack. This presentation discusses threats (cyber, electronic and physical) that must be identified, validated and fortified against, through incorporating protective designs across all disciplines, in order to keep pace with the ever-changing diversity of threats against mission critical facilities.
