Rajan Battish

As a Vice President in Charge of Mission Critical in RTKL’s MEP Engineering Studio, Rajan Battish offers more than 19 years of experience in electrical design and project management on corporate, mission-critical, educational, health and science, retail, and institutional projects. With a specialization in power infrastructure, Rajan pioneered the 400/230V at 60Hz for large data centers in the United States and has published numerous papers on energy efficiency and data center reliability. He spends significant time with electrical manufacturers, testing and developing their latest designs before they hit the market. A testament to Rajan’s excellence in his field includes the many successful and highly efficient data center projects which he has designed and managed. Rajan has recent experience managing the MEP design, construction administration, and commissioning efforts for mission critical clients. Among Rajan’s impressive list of clients is eBay, IBM, Verizon, T Rowe Price, Highmark Inc., Johns Hopkins, and Dell. Rajan is a registered professional engineer in 16 states and has published numerous papers on energy efficiency in data center design and data center trends. Rajan is Authorized Tier Designer from Uptime Institute and a LEED Accredited Professional. Rajan is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the Association for Data Center Management Professionals (AFCOM), and the Chesapeake Area Society of Healthcare Engineering.
