Harry Handlin is the director of critical power applications GE Energy Management’s Industrial Solutions business. A GE heritage business, Industrial Solutions is leading the future of electrification with advanced technologies that distribute electricity, as well as protect and control a facility’s electrical infrastructure. The business provides customers across various industries with end-to-end product and service solutions that ensure the reliability and protection of the electrical infrastructure.
Harry has global responsibility for providing providing technical and application support of electrical distribution products and industrial Services as well as integrating other GE businesses to serve the data center vertical segment. He also collaborates with product management and technology teams to develop new products for the data center market.
He is currently the technical committee chairman for The Green Grid; a non-profit, open industry consortium of end-users, policy-makers, technology providers, facility architects and utility companies. The main goal of the organization is to improve resource efficiency of data centers and business computing ecosystem. The Green Grid provides metrics and tools to evaluate efficiency in data centers along with white papers and case studies.
Harry graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering. He and his family reside in Birmingham, Alabama.
